Woongjun Jang is Chief Strategy Officer at Motional and has led various functions, such as procurement, corporate development & strategy, go-to-market & marketing, and product.
He is also a Senior Vice President and the head of the Autonomous Driving Center at Hyundai Motor Company. At Hyundai, Woongjun has led development and mass-production of various ADAS technologies with OTA features. Woongjun currently serves as a board member at Ottopia, an Israeli startup that develops remote-vehicle assistance technology.
Before joining Motional and Hyundai, he co-founded and served as CEO at Pinion Industries, an automotive security startup. He also worked at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager with focus on marketing & sales, operation, and strategy for high-tech companies.
Woongjun received his Ph.D. and master’s degrees from Stanford University and his bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University, all in electrical engineering.
